Sam Gora has a BFA in Art History (Universität Hamburg, UFPE Recife), a BFA and MFA in Fine Arts and Education (HfbK Hamburg, Universität Hamburg, Bard College NY), lives and works in Hamburg, Germany.
studied art and Latin American Studies at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, Brazil, 2010-2011
at HfbK she studied in the class of Thomas Demand and Sam Durant
part of Farbfabrique and Verein Gängeviertel e.V., Hamburg, since 2019, working with art, culture and activism since
part of Kunstprojekt Tanne / KPT e.V. since 2015

She was inspired by nature and sensibilized immensly for environmental issues when she lived in Ecuador (Intag) in 2007 when Ascendant Copper from Canada was illegally trying to implement their mines in Íntag, but communities there fought back. It was then when she first started understanding global links and how everything is connected.
